in your 40's CREATE YOUR OWN SIGNATURE STYLE

:)

Creating your own signature style is not just about fashion is about everything from the way you carry and hold yourself in every situation, how you react, how you keep your home, how you treat others and who your friends are all ways you create style.

STYLE ~ a way of doing something, your manner, poise, appearance (everyone can look good, just take the time to make yourself happy)

I am constantly trying to make my life more stylish in everything I do. I am often inspired by the features and posts by Shannon on her blog The Simply Luxurious Life. One of my favourites was 'how to create your own signature style'. I have chosen to add a new step each Thursday to help myself place each point into my life. I would also love input from readers of what they think and do according to each step. How do you live your life?

HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE

With every decision we make, every path in life we decide to travel, we are revealing our style, our preferences, our priorities, and the way which we feel we can live our best life. As always, actions speak louder than words and that is most certainly something to think about when trying to cultivate a signature style that feels genuine to who we are. By choosing to take care of our health, walk every day, befriend our neighbours and foster a home of nurture and education for our children we immediately say to the world what matters to us. Who we choose to surround ourselves with and how we speak is very telling of what we value and our inner strength and discipline.

I have to say my reactions need improving as I think I raise my voice to much and I would like to curb that behaviour and talk in a calm manner the way everyone deserves to be treated, no matter the situation. I have few friends and a very dear friend that is always there for me as i am always there for her also. I have been told I have a good sense of style on and off over the years as I like to take pride in the way I dress and look and I have instilled that in my daughters as well. Girls will be girls.

My health is great, except for the occasional migraine. I had a powerful one on Monday which had me frozen to the lounge with a bucket by my side. Sadly I think my youngest daughter may have inherited the migraine gene from me. Aside form that we are 'healthy little vegemites.'

I try to exercise every day. Does housework count? I think it does! No I should set at least half an hour every day to walk outside or on the treadmill. My daughter can do it and so should I. Do you exercise daily or a few times a week?

I am genuine to myself and do not pretend to be someone I am not. I am also proud to say so are my daughters.
